We offer a full range of classes for students age three to adult in Ballet, Tap,
Jazz, Modern, Hip-Hop, and Cheerdance. Private classes are available upon request and
availability. Classes meet once each week. Dance classes are run from September through
June, culminating in an annual Spring Recital. The curriculum is designed for the student
who enters the dance program in September and studies throughout the school year. Students
are accepted into the program until January, as space in the classes is available. All
students are invited to perform in the Spring Recital, but participation in the recital
is not mandatory. Pictures of individual dancers and classes will be taken in the Spring
and will be made available for purchase.
Dance Competitions
Students may also choose to participate in dance competitions. Competitions provide students with opportunities to see other dancers, explore new styles of dance, and better the student’s technique through positive and constructive notes from judges. Judging of performances is individual and does not place one team against another. Competitions are demanding and require extra effort and energy from the students as well as the parent. It requires additional practice and commitment to attend rehearsals and competitions.
